One Tree for the Climate is an initiative for schools, community organizations, municipalities, parent's bodies, to work together towards the goal of planting millions of trees.
The first informative meeting will take place on November 7, 2022

“Children may not be able to participate in complex decision making regarding climate change but they can take simple actions like planting a tree as a way of addressing climate change,” Mr. Jeffrey, Team Leader "One Child One Tree Initiative".
It's IMPORTANT to provide an opportunity for our students to identify benefits we receive from trees, participate in tree-planting events and learn how to care for trees.
This is exactly what we are trying to do. In fact we are trying to establish a nation-wide coalition of schools, municipalities and forest services, in order to plant some thousands or millions of new trees.

On Monday, November the 7th, we had our first meeting with teachers from all around Greece, from the north to the south and from east to west. 180 teachers took part in the meeting during which we presented the main idea, the follow up, the synergies necessary to proceed to the implementation of the wide activity. In the coming days a shorter team of teachers, acting as coordinators at local level, will meet via webex to consolidate the activities and procced with the project. We are optimistic that something good will come out of our initiative.
