Planet Guardians: The Adventure to Save the Environment is a gamified ecological literacy project designed for primary and lower secondary students in Türkiye. Built on GreenComp principles, it combines environmental science, systems thinking and sustainability values through playful, action-based missions.

The project uses a board game, role cards, and collaborative challenges to engage students in exploring real-life issues such as water scarcity, plastic pollution, and carbon footprint. STEM is integrated through measurement-based experiments, creative problem-solving, and design activities.

Family involvement plays a key role through at-home missions, school-wide exhibitions, and community nature walks. The project has been implemented in formal education settings, national science festivals, and teacher training workshops.

🏆 The project received national recognition, including awards at TÜBİTAK science fairs and regional eco-innovation programs.Recognized as the “Most Innovative Project” by WWF Turkey within the 2025 Nature Pioneers Program.

So far, it has reached over 300 students, 30 teachers, and 100+ families across several provinces, with continued dissemination via teacher networks, public workshops,

The project promotes systems thinking, adaptability, and collective action. It empowers students not just to learn about climate issues—but to lead solutions in their own schools and communities.
