FREE TEACHER TRAINING WITH HIGH PROFILE ACADAMICS AND EXPERTS
GrACE – Green Europe: Active Citizenship and the Environment (2024-2026) is an international teacher training programme focused on providing educators with in-depth knowledge of environmental issues and effective teaching strategies for climate education. The project is carried out by the University of Trento, Italy, with the aim of empowering teachers to inspire their pupils towards active participation in democratic life, specifically by leveraging their interest in environmental issues.
THE GrACE WEBINAR SERIES
The GrACE webinar series offer secondary school teachers across Europe unique opportunities to deepen their understanding of climate and environmental issues while exploring innovative, research-informed teaching strategies.
Running from September to May, the series feature multiple cycles of webinars that combine expert presentations on key environmental topics with interactive workshops focused on classroom practices.
All the project materials – including video recordings, presentations, handouts, and lesson plans – are freely accessible online under a Creative Commons licence, ensuring that educators and learners worldwide can use, adapt, and share them.


THE GrACE RESIDENCIAL COURSES: COLLABORATIVE TRAINING IN THE HEART OF TRENTINO, ITALY
Each year, at the end of each webinar series, GrACE offers an immersive three-day residential course in Trento – a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on, collaborative training with expert tutors and fellow teachers from across Europe.
The programme features interactive workshops and focused seminars, where participants co-design classroom-ready teaching modules and explore innovative strategies for integrating climate education and active citizenship into their everyday practice.
Set in the beautiful landscape of Trentino, the residential course fosters a supportive and stimulating environment for professional growth, reflection, and exchange.
