Discover the GreenComp sustainability competences
This interactive tool invites you to explore GreenComp, the European sustainability competence framework developed by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. GreenComp provides a shared reference for understanding what sustainability means as a competence: combining knowledge, skills and attitudes that enable people to think critically, embrace complexity, imagine sustainable futures and take responsible action.
The framework is structured around four interconnected competence areas, each made up of three key competences. Together, these twelve competences support learning for sustainability across formal, non‑formal and informal education, and are relevant for learners of all ages and backgrounds.
