Youth Climate LAB 3 | Fourth session and recording

On Thursday 18 September, the participants of the Youth Climate LAB on how to integrate traditional ecological knowledge into learning communities met to scale the discussions and ideas into actions.

To help us focus on education, Camilla Ferreira Marinelli joined us presenting her research and the EDGES project. Unfortunately, Marco Inchingolo was not able to join live; however, his inputs were shared through short videos on two behavioural science models.

We continued this session with two practical activities that have supported the participants in starting developing the action package. The first activity addressed recommendations to educators, youth and policy makers as well as the rest of civil society. The second exercise set the basic information on which to develop a learning scenario.

Do not hesitate to ask questions to the participants in the comment section below as replies to their main takeaways.

Thank you all for the inspiring discussions during the Youth Climate LAB! It was very valuable to see how traditional ecological knowledge can be integrated into learning communities. The contributions from Camilla Ferreira Marinelli and the insights shared by Marco Inchingolo on behavioural science provided a strong foundation for our reflections.

I was especially impressed by the way participants translated ideas into practical recommendations for educators, youth, policymakers, and civil society, as well as the initial steps toward a learning scenario.

What I’d love to hear from you:

Which of the recommendations do you feel has the greatest potential for real impact?

How do you see traditional ecological knowledge being applied in your own local context?

Looking forward to continuing this conversation and seeing how our action package evolves!
