What if some of the knowledge we need for a more sustainable future is knowledge we are in danger of losing?
Why is Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) important for climate resilience, sustainable living and education? And how can we bring knowledge developed through generations of relationships with nature and place into today’s learning environments — responsibly and meaningfully?
Join the Education for Climate Community Café to explore these questions and build on the work of the 2025 Youth Climate LAB. Together, we will take the young participants’ recommendations and explore how they could be put into practice in our own educational contexts.
We will also look at the emerging role of digital technologies and AI in preserving, sharing and transmitting traditional knowledge — and the questions this raises around ownership, representation and cultural context.
This is an interactive session combining short inputs, breakout-room work and collective reflection. Come ready to turn ideas into practice.
Enrol & prepare your coffee before we meet.
