Call for local side events!
While much of our collaboration happens online through our digital platform, we know that real impact also happens locally—in schools, organisations, and communities.
This call invites members of the Education for Climate Coalition to propose local side events, either in person or online, to be recognised and promoted as part of Education for Climate Day. The initiative aims to encourage members to organise events within their own communities and to promote local activities across the wider Education for Climate community.
Why we’re inviting you to host a local side event between 7 September to 21 October 2026 as part of Education for Climate Day! This is your chance to:
- Showcase your community’s climate and education initiatives
- Connect your local work to a European-wide audience
- Contribute to a collective movement for sustainability competences
By proposing a side event, you can make your local activities visible across Europe and have them featured as part of the official programme.
To have your event selected as an official side event, your proposal should follow the guidelines outlined below. These ensure that every activity reflects the Coalition’s values of inclusivity, accessibility, and impact. Submissions will be accepted until 30 September 2026.
Guidelines for your submission
- Launch a local-level event between 7 September and 21 October 2026.
- Fill in the dedicated form to have your event promoted and considered as a part of the Education for Climate Day 2026
Your event must be created as an event page on the Education for Climate Coalition platform, both if held online or in-person. You should also prepare a short post about your event on the dedicated group for the call to allow the community managers to promote it within the platform.
