The Education for Climate Secretariat

Who are we?

As a flagship initiative of the European Education Area by 2025 and essential part of the European Green Deal, the Education for Climate Coalition is part of the European Union’s comprehensive approach to sustainability education.

We support the creation and management of a pan-European community of practice that makes sense first and foremost for the education community at large.

Based at the European Commission in the Directorate-Generals for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture^DG EAC and the Joint Research Centre^DG JRC, we are a team of community managers, process facilitators and education experts who support the education for climate community throughout its life cycle guided by our co-designed community manifesto.
