3. A Challenge Hub initiative  20': 

   the JRC SciArt project 

   Our JRC colleague Adriaan Eeckels will present the JRC SciArt project that brings together scientists with artists and policymakers to discuss matters of concern, not only to the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the European Commission but also more widely to society. 

   Adriaan and his colleagues broker, curate and communicate transdisciplinary exchanges and encounters around given topics of interest. Then, they produce and exhibit the result of such encounters in a venue of relevance, as a way to engage with the public, foment conversations with the citizen, and create cultural products of contemporary relevance.

   
   The theme of the current cycle is NaturArchy: Towards a Natural Contract, in support of the EU Green Deal. They are in the final phases, close to the exhibition that opens on 24 May 2024 at iMAL in Brussels, showcasing the results of the process. 

   Adriaan will discuss the works, but also the advantages of systematic inter- and transdisciplinary work for artists, scientists and policymakers. Something that is of great interest also for education where such SciArt/transdisciplinary approaches could/should be promoted, particularly for green education projects.
