Dear Scott BLAIR Maria Vallejo and Andri IOANNOU ! I got to understand that you are all working on assessment around GreenComp competences. This is to explore synergies and collaboration points - and share what you are doing with the rest of the community.
Hi Maria and Andri. I look forward to engaging with you on this important topic, particularly as it applies to Higher Education. We at https://en.sulitest.org/ are developing online tools and certificates for assessing and validating student sustainability knowledge. The new tool we released just this past March 2023 is called TASK--The Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge. We have recently found close alignment with the GreenComp framework across multiple learning statements related to knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Lots to think about. Let's explore where our areas of interest and eco-ambitions overlap. In community, Scott. (Thanks Valeria for the introduction!)
Dear Scott BLAIR Maria Vallejo and Andri IOANNOU How are you? I hope you have found synergies on this topic.
I believe that your work is linked to Priscila Doran Vasiliki Katsikerou and François Jourde works on rubrics. In particular, Priscila is working on one for students while Vasiliki and Francois are now seeking advice in the community on the ESD rubric they are developing.
Considering the possible synergies, I would like to put you in contact and continue the discussion here on the GreenComp community (especially considering that many more community members are interested or working on this specific topic).
Please feel free to create a dedicated space in the community (such as creating an idea) that you can pin point for the discussions
Dear Valeria, thanks for the networking. Should Vasiliki Katsikerou and I create an idea on the ESD rubric for this group?
If you would like to present the work you are doing, I would rather suggest a topic in this group.
I would keep the ideas for wider collaboration activities among community memebers, such as the learning scenarios or a bigger co-designing activiting linking all the tools you are working on around assessment
Hi. Thanks Valeria! Very interesting Scott BLAIR ! How can we have access to the TASK tool? Is this public for anyone to complete the assessment? Seems very interesting :)
We were unable to find validated tools and we do not have a large enough sample to validate an instrument. We ended up working with QUAL data hoping to later find a validate tool for our research in environmental education. Any ideas are most welcome.
Dear Jelle Boeve-de Pauw considering the topic of the IMP>ACT project, you may be interested in connecting with the community members in this discussion.
Dear all, I believe that Gisela Cebrián would also be interested in joining this discussion.
Furthermore, a heads-up for all: during the upcoming community gathering, you will have the opportunity to engage for the first time in a community discussion on assessment. Please register here to join the discussion: https://education-for-climate.ec.europa.eu/community/GreenCompCommunity…
Dear all! Thanks Valeria for connecting us. It's great to hear and learn from these existing initiatives!
In EDUCLIMAD project https://educlimad.com/ we are currently working on the design, test and validation of sustainability competencies' assessment tools for primary and secondary education students, taking GreenComp as the guiding framework and also looking at the influence of school climate assemblies in developing these competencies.
Very keen to engage with you on this topic!
