2023 - A Year of Eco Action!

The ecological crisis is getting worse daily, and we realise that it is impossible to resolve this global crisis only through science and technology or even through economic means or political powers. It is not simply about climate change mitigation, adaptation, or financial commitments such as the Loss and Damage Fund agreed upon in the latest climate conference, COP27.
These efforts are inadequate if there is no fundamental change in our relationship with nature. Real change will happen only if there is a complete paradigm shift in our attitudes, spirituality, lives, and lifestyles. and a revamping of the entire socioeconomic, political and cultural system of administration of the environment. We are on the verge of a global catastrophe that needs to be handled collectively and comprehensively.
What kind of world do we want to leave to those who come after us, to children who are now growing up?
In the wake of this crisis the young need our support not merely by word but by action. Our institutions need to step up their efforts towards green campus practices, curricula development; community engagement; and student engagement. Rearranging our daily habits and way of life requires thought and planning. Walking on the road towards Integral Ecology takes deep reflection, constant learning and working together. 
How to get it started?
Good execution starts with a plan. We could have achieved so much more in 2022 only if we had a plan. Most of us hold multiple positions in our institutions and though we want to execute many activities very little actually gets done. What we miss out on is planning the Ecological activities for the year. If you're with a school you’ll exactly know the busy periods during the academic year. You’ll also know the best time to conduct activities. We encourage you to create a calendar for 2023.
