Landscapes across Europe are protected in policy terms by the European Landscape Convention. However, sensitive and fragile environments are increasingly under threat from climate change. It is therefore essential to monitor and better understand these landscapes and advocate for them to be protected. This is the mission of the GEOLAND project. working with higher education but also schools to establish methods and tools for students to use to monitor landscape and share their results with others including policy makers.
