The project PEDIA is a reality-the first five schools have been transformed to zero energy buildings and climate resilient Schools

In 2018 we begun dreaming the transformation of our schools to zero energy buildings and climate reselient schools. They thought that we are crazy. They told us that is not easy to be done. 

Six years later,  the first five schools (the Primary schools of b' Idalioy, Agion Trimithias, the pre-primary schools of  Agiou Antoniou and St' Aglantzias as well as the secondary school of Agiou Dometiou), are ready and are models on how school buildings can become zero energy and green schools. 

With the Support of the EU and the program  Horizon and Thaleia, we managed to get more than 20 millions funds for doing 25 schools zero energy and climate resilient schools. 

Pedia project is a roadmap for greening school buildings in Cyprus and an exemplar case study of collaboration amongst the public sector (Ministry of Education-Unit of Education for Environment and Sustainable Development) and private Sector (Cyprus Energy Office).
