The E+ Flood Stopping project is a dynamic, 24-month initiative dedicated to empowering teachers, students, and communities to better understand and respond to flood risks. By providing educators with cutting-edge tools and resources, the project equips them to teach vital adaptation strategies to their students and foster resilient communities.

The project integrates innovative approaches like scientific insights on flood risks, community mapping, and interactive learning tools, including an AR board game and a mobile app. These resources allow teachers to actively apply their training and engage students in developing community-driven adaptation plans.

Now, September 2024, E+ Flood Stopping has already delivered key outputs:

  • A suite of open-access learning materials, including podcasts, animated content, and an infographic manual.
  • A hands-on AR board game to gamify flood risk education.
  • A community app designed to support local adaptation efforts.
  • In-person "train-the-trainer" sessions to enhance teachers' understanding of flood risks and adaptation strategies.

Over the final phase, during December 2024, trained teachers will guide students in crafting actionable flood adaptation plans for their communities. All project resources are freely available on the website: www.floodstopping.eu.
