grECOtrails

GrecoTrails is a learner-led initiative that connects climate education with digital and entrepreneurial skills. Students designed a platform showcasing sustainable tourism trails, using AI, AR, VR, and gamified tools to raise environmental awareness and engage their communities.

The project is aligned with GreenComp, EntreComp, and DigComp frameworks—helping students develop green competences, entrepreneurial mindset, and digital skills such as content creation, digital communication, and responsible online collaboration.

By working with schools, local authorities, and environmental stakeholders, grecoTrails fosters meaningful place-based learning and civic engagement. It supports Education for Climate priorities: raising awareness, training teachers, changing behaviours, building green skills, and bridging science with education.

GrecoTrails shows how student agency can drive both local impact and global climate action.
