Last week, the GreenComp community met once again to continue our learning experience around the Framework.

During this third café, hosted on November 8th, we addressed Embracing complexity in sustainability together with Ulrike Pisiotis, policy officer at the European Commission and one of the authors of the GreenComp Framework. We have highlighted the importance of developing the capacity to analysise the world considering its complexity.

We have therefore addressed system thinking, critical thinking and problem framing. These competences help learners to be able to analyse the world and its systems. By bringing the example of the cup of tea, Ulrike highlighted how systemically to think about single aspects of our life.

These compences are linked because to frame an issue, you need to ask the right question and - in order to answer - you need both systemic thinking and critical thinking; and you also need to complement with the other GreenComp competences.
