Corinna Oliveira
Corinna Oliveira • 9 August 2024

Level: For beginner, Intermediate and Advanced

Setting: Non-formal

Format: Online, In-person, Hybrid

Subjects: Traditional knowledge

I am creating an on-demand online course on climate change based on indigenous science and wisdom

The aim of the course is to provide orientation to individuals that are worried about climate change. The course will feature indigenous voices from various cultures around the world. They will share their perspectives and teachings on how to deal with the existential crisis humanity is currently in.

Indigenous voices are currently not being heard sufficiently in the discussion on climate change, although they offer valuable insights, knowledge and experience in regenerating ecosystems. This course will provide indigenous speakers with a platform to be heard, and give course participants easy access to the indigenous messages. The course builds a brigde between cultures and allows for exchange and inspiration. It will provide a sense of direction and hope to the participants.

The course language will be German. It is scheduled to be available by winter 2024

More information will be shared on https://www.sereia-aura.de/.

Dear Corinna Oliveira ,

Congratulations on such an interesting project! I had the pleasure to read your full submission, including your survey, and it is an inspiring learning scenario. As explained in the call page and in the survey, I have now proceeded to curate your post to include all the relevant tags. However, I believe that the community would benefit from learning more about your methodology, subjects involved in the project, and a more detailed explanation of the learning scenario.

Would you mind editing your blog post adding this information for the rest of the community and follow-up once the pilot course has been concluded?
