The idea for Sulitest was born in Rio in 2012, at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, and the testing phase began in correlation with the commitments of the signatories of the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI).
Jean-Christophe Carteron, now co-chair of HESI, is the president of Sulitest, a movement he co-founded together with Aurélien Decamps, managing director of Sulitest and former professor.
In this TALK we try to understand why and how higher education plays a key role in the development of the green competences, but also how we need and concretely can assess these competences, notably by using TASK™ – The first international certificate of sustainability knowledge that was among the 12 case studies of the compendium of case studies implementing the GreenComp.
Finally Jean-Christophe and Aurélien share with us their views on the challenges that are being faced by higher education in trying to embed sustainability and what are the priorities we should focus on to scale up and make mainstream sustainability literacy.
