Exciting news!

The Education for Climate Coalition is looking forward to welcoming Green Youth Changemakers from Slovakia and Armenia!

The groups will be in Brussels next week for another action-driven workshop on education for environmental sustainability.

We will focus on green competences within the newly established GreenComp community.

The GreenComp community is a community of educators, students, and professionals who are committed to promoting environmental sustainability and green competences.

These competences are the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to live and work in an environmentally sustainable way. Green competences are crucial for addressing the environmental challenges facing our planet, and the community is dedicated to promoting them through education and training.

Let's play!

To encourage discussion and learning around how to boost these green competences for a sustainable future, we will explore the EducationForClimate's Innovation Areas & Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). To prioritize fitting learning activities, we will then dive into the areas of the European sustainability framework (GreenComp).

Curious?
We'll ask the workshop participants to report here and make the game's outcome a collective journey!

Thank you for your precious voices and insights during our game, Nare Tsaturyan Davit Muradyan Benedek Novák UniGrowth Development Center Lóra Sofia Nagyová Samvel Petrosyan Gabriela Mezeiová !

Here, you will find your SDGs/green competence pairings to get active: https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVM55oFTo=/?moveToWidget=34587645584915494…

As promised, short summary of your common insights:

Connections are key, and these connections take many forms and qualities.
- credible connection with policymakers: to be listened to and having operational follow-ups in place | suggestion: role-switching simulation games to understand each others' contexts better
- laid-back connection with peers: be authentic and uncomplicated | suggestion: start with small (closed?) groups
- simple and local connection with peers : get together locally and spread the word of meet-ups | suggestion: in real life matters most - tired of online meetings
- digital connection across borders: for inspiration and movement | suggestions: be short (not more than 1hr), precise with agenda, interactive, spaced rhythm for meetings (every 2 months)
- visual connection: honest communication where it matters, follow how we make sense of trends | suggestions: short desciptions only, pictures & reals, constant feedback with us since we also cannot follow-up anymore with everything, use smaller influencers.

Did I miss something? Let us know!
