I invite you to read the last (June) "Policy Recommendations on Collaborative School and Educational Leadership from the Perspective of Learning Communities and Evidence-Informed Policymaking and Practice" from ELNE.

The title might be long, but it is quite telling, and frankly, exciting.

Education needs more participatory approaches, to involve teachers and learners in cocreation processes; giving the possibility to everyone to be an actor of learning, not a passive consumer of knowledge; giving the pupils and students the possibility not only to learn knowledge, but also ways of doing and being, as citizens. So yes, it is about democracy. And communities of learning are perfect tools to promote this, to experiment this.

It is also about the crucial need to support our approaches and projects on scientific evidence, and to invite researchers to share their results with the schools/learning places and to be involved in joint projects. Which also means that indeed it is also about resources...

Education leadership will play a key role in promoting that change, these recommendations are in my view very relevant.

They are also very well aligned with those needed to promote learning for the transition(s): participatory approaches, based on science, involving researchers and giving both learners and teachers the opportunity to place themselves in a position of permanent investigation in all learning processes.
