As you may be aware of, we now have only five years left towards implementing the Agenda 2030 and reaching the SDG targets. You are probably aware that the implementation of the SDG so far is way off track and reaching the goals by 2030 may be in peril, which could be disastrous if we continue on the same path. And it needs to be seen if the 2024 Summit of the Future and associated ‘Pact for the Future’ agreed upon in the UN in 2024, which goes beyond the SDG will be able to kick start the SDG and Agenda 2030 as well as a beyond-2030 process.
However, we at Gaia Education, an international NGO working for the last 20 years for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and a presence in over 55 countries take on the challenge to do our part to bring the achievement of the Agenda back on track and even move beyond the SDG towards a regenerative post-2030 future. This is why Gaia Education is re-invigorating the use of our whole systems based design SDG tools, like the 4-D design framework based educational SDG Flashcards, the SDG Multipliers Handbook, and the SDG Training of Multipliers and have been (e.g. how to use guide, detailed workshop timelines & scripts and others) and will be adding new and other content and offers to step up our contributions to the Agenda 2030 and beyond towards a regenerative future supporting the social, environmental, economic and worldview/cultural transformations at your locality, in your local community and in your local context, one community at a time .
