Dear GreemComp Community,

Technopolis Group and 3s have been commissioned by the European Commission to carry out a study that is aimed at exploring how working with GreenComp, the European Sustainability Competence Framework helps advance the development of learner and educator sustainability competences in different settings and at different levels of education.

As part of the study, we are preparing a set of case studies covering all levels of education to understand how and why GreenComp - or other alternative competence frameworks - are being used. The case studies have dual objectives:

  • To showcase good practice examples on different ways GreenComp can be used by different types of stakeholders. We also want to understand the motivations for using a competence development framework and the expected results.
  • To seek lessons learnt and recommendations that can be shared with the Education for Climate community and with interested stakeholders. This is aimed at supporting the further uptake of GreenComp by a broader range of stakeholders.

We would like to seek your input to this study by asking you to complete a very short online survey (it should take no longer than 2-5 minutes to complete). The survey is to capture information on your awareness of and experience with sustainability competence frameworks that are available at national and international levels. Your input would be much appreciated before the end of the year 2023.

We thank you very much for your valuable support!

Lisa Nieth on behalf of the study team.
