Interesting event coming at the European Parliament in Brussels.

This gathering will bring together children, key staff from across the EU institutions, permanent representations, missions to the EU and Save the Children offices from across Europe to showcase and discuss critical initiatives on topics such as: child poverty, migration, a safe digital environment, child participation, education and climate action.

A nice occasion to network and showcase the added-value our community can bring.

It will be my pleasure to attend. Maybe I will see you there?

RSVP via this registration form by 11 October to confirm your attendance if you are interested to join.

See recommendations to the EU page 41 on "Climate Action":
"WHAT THE EU MUST DO NEXT:
- A strong and ambitious child-inclusive climate agenda must be an utmost priority for the EU institutions. All environmental policies must include evidence-based
impact assessments on children’s rights, needs, voices and equity.
- EU Member States should integrate the needs and vulnerabilities of children in their National Adaptation Strategies.
- Invest in climate education to raise awareness among children and give them green skills for future jobs.
- Maintain climate mainstreaming of EU expenditure and allocate sufficient funds for a just transition, that includes energy poverty for households with children.
The just transition needs to live up to its promise to leave no one behind.
- Scale up child- and gender-responsive climate finance and ensure children’s voices are heard and considered during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations
