From all submissions, we will select three projects that will be part of a European community showcase session to leverage your work during the Education for Climate Days.
And among those three selected (see criteria below), each one will get one exciting prize:
X come for a travel-funded visit to the Joint Research Centre in Ispra, Italy, with your class and experience science directly
X get a digital workshop with a Joint Research Centre scientist with your class
X participate actively in a COP27 online session together with Climate Pact Ambassadors.
WHY? | The Education for Climate Days and urgent climate action
The Education for Climate Days 2022 will happen from the 7th to 9th of November this year.
Under the theme of "co-creating learning for climate resilience", each day will focus on one key Education for Climate issue: climate change challenges, green education solutions, innovative implementation actions.
This community call concerns Day 3 where we ask ourselves "How to implement green education solutions?"
We want to illustrate education innovation in the field and engage with your projects to inspire and get inspired in a truly participatory approach facilitated by the Education for Climate Coalition.
WHAT? | The Call
We want to learn from you what your green education actions are to highlight the state of art in European initiatives in a community showcase.
To introduce your project and share your green education solutions with us and the community, please:

X blog about it on the platform (Join the group Education for Climate Days 2022 first)
The survey will take you roughly 12 minutes and you will be able to save your application at any step to continue later.
You can be as creative and short for your blogpost on the platform as you like.
Only COMPLETE applications (survey AND blog) will be considered.
This call is running from the 28th July 2022 to the 25th September 2022.
From all the replies received, we will select 3 community examples that will join us live on the online stage on the 9th of November 2022 at 17:00 CET.
You will receive a notification about the selection outcome at the beginning of October.
WHAT are we looking for? | Evaluation criteria
We want to illustrate education innovation in the field and engage with your implementation projects to inspire and get inspired in a truly participatory approach facilitated by the Education for Climate Coalition.
The call for green education actions asks for:
X MAIN PROJECT BASE: in and across any EU Member State(s)
X PROJECT/ ACTION STATUS & DESCRIPTION: started, ongoing or recently completed within the 5 last years with concrete implementation actions having happened – whether small, big, local, international (all welcome from all education levels)
X PARTICIPATORY PROJECT DESIGN & MANAGEMENT: shaped and run by at least two education actor categories as listed in the survey
X EDUCATION FOR CLIMATE INNOVATION AREA COVERAGE: covers at least 1/5
X GREENCOMP ENGAGEMENT: addresses at least 1/12 competences
X INNOVATIVE LEARNING ENGAGEMENT: includes one of the learning & teaching methods listed in the June 2022 Council Recommendation on learning for the green transition and sustainable development in order to embrace learning goal(s) and illustrates its didactics/ pedagogy
X TANGIBILITY: provides telling evidence in form of concrete & codified content, like material/ activity / process / learning action (in any EU language), or in form of any illustrating photos, pdfs, videos, documents/ pdfs, URLs etc.
X COMMUNITY RECEPTION: is pitched and showcased as blog in any style format on the platform & is then liked by the community
