Let’s try to explain simply with Deirdre Hodson and Stefan Zotti, 2 experienced policy officers from the so called European Commission “DG EAC” (the department responsible for EU policies on education, youth, sport and culture), what is the EU currently doing on learning for the green transition and sustainable development.
What are the objectives being pursued? What are the main initiatives undertaken by the European Commission to strengthen the European education community's capacity for sustainability?
Sustainability is indeed a very important agenda in education and it cannot exist on its own silo, as Deirdre puts it, as it is about “big picture education transformation”.
