On occasion of the 9th #environmentforeurope Ministerial Conference in #Nicosia, Centre of Excellence in Risk & Decision Sciences of European University Cyprus happily announces the opening of the Cyprus National Coalition of #EducationForClimate!
Members that have already registered in Cyprus’ National Coalition, include the following major stakeholders in the field of climate education:
Dr. Aravella Zachariou, Chair of the UNECE ESD SC, Head of the Unit of Education for Sustainable Development at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, Vis. Ass. Prof on ESD.
Dr. Constantinos Kounnamas, Acting Head of the Nature Conservation Unit at Frederick University.
Dr. Sotiris Themistokleous, Director of Strategic Development of the Center for Social Innovation (CSI).
Mrs. Phoebe Vayanou, Senior Environmental Consultant, currently consulting among others also the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.
The Cyprus National Coalition is quickly expanding and entities such as Terra Cypria, stakeholders from the Cypriot School-system, and others, are already in the process of joining.
