Welcome to the Digital Innovation Lab

Happening during the Policy Forum 2023!

As innovators in the digital space, we have a unique opportunity to integrate sustainability education into our policy work and learning practice to pave the way for a more sustainable future.

So, when thinking about the upcoming transformations digital innovation carries for green education:

1. What does this change mean for digital innovation and sustainability education policy? How do we need to address or re-dress policy to integrate sustainability education into digital innovation or the other way round?

2. And what about education practice? What are the good practices out there that can help us integrate sustainability education into our digital innovations and the other way round to prepare ourselves and our communities for a sustainable future?

3. Lastly, collaboration is key. What are the next steps that we need to take together to ensure that we are integrating sustainability education into our digital innovations and the other way round to move towards a more sustainable future?

Let's explore these questions and more in the Digital Innovation Lab.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you all for your participation in the Forum and your passion and dedication to a sustainable future!

Here's the Lab's conversation in miro: https://education-for-climate.ec.europa.eu/community/sites/default/file…

Re-watch the whole event here: https://education-for-climate.ec.europa.eu/community/topic/policy-forum…

What did we learn together?
1. The lab was diverse in practice from different sectors and had a rich & inspiring discussion on green education (digital) innovation practices.
2. There is a lot of good practice out there that can be learned from and modified and leveraged for own applications.
3. To find and use these good practices, participants were eager to continue exchanging and networking on the platform to have a centralized go-to library.
4. Several competence frameworks were discussed, and participants were interested in how to cross-mainstream ideas and implementation actions.
5. How to include students better and give them a sense of impact beyond the classroom was a crucial question.
6. Bridging collaboration partnerships between industry and (higher) education institutions in a simple manner was brought up as one main issue.

What's missing from this summary? What actions are you now up to? What materials, experiences, good practices, referrals could you share with others`?
Let's bring it together here!
