Despite the summer period and the natural slowing down that comes with the season, we’re still on and proud to spotlight the incredible work being done by members of our community. Upcoming activities
🌱 Call for Innovative Green Education projects is open.
Are you leading or hosting an inspiring green education project? Then apply to this year’s call, open until 5 September 2025.
We are looking for contributions in 3 thematic areas:
Schools as living labs for sustainability: Do you work on transforming schools into active participants in sustainability efforts?
Good practices integrating GreenComp framework within STEM teaching and learning: Do you work with STEM educators or learners?
Citizenship education: Do you work with learners or educators on citizenship education?
From all submissions, three projects per theme will be selected to feature in the showcase sessions during Education for Climate Day 2025. Coordinators of selected projects will be invited to a travel-funded visit to Brussels on 23 October 2025 to present their work.
🌍 The third season of Youth Climate LAB is coming soon!
The Youth Climate LAB is a dynamic peer-learning activity where young participants explore climate-related challenges and propose practical solutions. Each season offers the chance to engage with experts and gain deeper insights into the topic.
After two successful editions, a new season is on its way — bringing fresh opportunities for young people to take action and make a difference.

🧩 Discover the Biomimicry Puzzle
The Biomimicry Puzzle is a fun and visually engaging educational game that invites players to discover the link between nature and innovation. Using 13 pairs of cards, participants match natural organisms or phenomena with engineering solutions highlighting how sustainability can be guided by the natural world. Created by Slovak Eco Quality as part of the Fast Fashion? Fast Forward! project, the game encourages both individual exploration and group discussions, making it a great tool for learning about biomimicry, creativity, and sustainable design.
🗺️Teaching Climate with GIS
Discover how you can transform climate education with the help of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This discussion explores how digital mapping tools can help students and teachers visualise climate change, analyse real-world data and take informed action.
