Welcome to the Local Learning Communities Lab

Happening during the Policy Forum 2024!

As members of education communities, we recognize the vital importance of developing capacities for local learning communities within the twin transition. This encompasses both community-based adaptations and resilience building as well as the sharing of good practices across borders. 

Adressing climate anxieties is a critical component of this process. By fostering environments where individuals feel supported and empowered to share their concerns and hopes, we can build collective resilience.

This also ties in with thoughts about active citizenship education to sustain participatory (education) processes at large.

The Questions 

So, when we think about capacity-buiding for/in local learning communities for climate resilience:

1. What does this mean for education policy? How do we need to address or re-dress policy for this shift towards a more sustainable future?

2. And what about education practice? What are the good practices out there that can help us address this change and prepare ourselves and our communities for a sustainable future?

3. Lastly, collaboration is key. What are the next steps that we need to take together on both sides to ensure that we are moving towards a more sustainable future?
