Climate Resilience: Preparing for the Future

14:30 | Setting the scene

Join us at the #EducationForClimate Policy Forum 2024 and engage in a direct dialogue with policymakers and practitioners in the field of climate resilience (disaster preparedness, climate justice, social cohesion, new learning approaches, etc.).

  • Engage in a high-level townhall debate on climate resilience and how learning for sustainability contributes to preparing to the future
  • Then, attend three parallel policy/practice labs on climate resilience, the twin transition and learning for sustainability to dive deeper into conversations.
  • Discover good practices to adopt during a closing session with follow-up opportunities.

14:35 - 15:30 | Townhall

With 2024 as European Year of Skills and the ever so growing impacts of climate change on communities across the globe and the EU, this year’s focus is on shifting towards the activisation and mobilisation of learning communities for preparing themselves to better adjust (and even mitigate) to the climate crisis by learning for sustainability.

15:30 - 16:30 | Policy & Practice Labs | Climate resilience, the twin transition & learning for sustainability

The labs explore the implications of the following transitions on both education policy and practice, highlighting good practices that can be adopted in response.

They feature a core conversation group plus all registered attendees for broader dialogue.
