Dear EducationForClimate Community,
With this first message of the year, we would like to thank you for all the fruitful discussions and exchanges we had in 2024 and the positive energy that is still in the air because of you. Please let’s keep on working together to make 2025 as memorable.
As we can all see, unfortunately climate crisis continues to worsen and disasters are multiplying, from the recent floods in Valencia, Spain, and the ongoing fires in Los Angeles, US.
While climate change challenges continue, new collaboration opportunities to tackle them are upcoming. A fresh chapter awaits the Coalition in 2025.
What's Happening?
After four inspiring, intense, and cherished years, the previous Secretariat at the Joint Research Centre welcomed the new Coalition Secretariat under the leadership of the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture with Malgorzata and Rossella for the Coalition, and Ulrike and Sophia for GreenComp.
At this occasion, we would like to extend our heartful thanks to Susanne, Tremeur, Frederic and Valeria for their outstanding efforts and contribution in the last years. Your dedication has made this community a wonderful platform to discuss climate issues, challenges and opportunities!

We are looking forward to a full year of outreach activities, community engagement and participatory challenges... on our platform!

Join Us in Shaping the Future
Based on the community priorities that we have gathered throughout 2024, a community café is scheduled for 19 February 2025. This gathering will bring together our advisory group, country group coordinators, and everyone who wishes to contribute to the future of the Coalition. The community is what you make out of it.
