How to design and run a successful hackathon?

What do we need in order to help pupils participate fully in a hackathon process?

What materials would teachers need to start a hackathon from scratch?

What are the resources we need to develop together to help each other?

What are the types of hackathon we can run in a classroom?

How long should a hackathon take to do?

Dear Adeviye, the automatic translation of your comments is: "Let's start a Hackathon in the classroom. Let us have seed piggy banks. More seeds mean more trees."
Could you please tell us a bit more? Could you please write in English, to facilitate the conversation?

Hello, We Made a Project. Seven provinces in Turkey participated in this project. In the project, the children separated the cone seeds they collected and the fruit seeds they ate and put them in the piggy bank. We brought the seeds from the piggy bank into the soil, sometimes daily, sometimes weekly. We took our growing seedlings into pots. We planted 100 saplings in the ground. We still have dozens of saplings. My wish project is to create for all the Children of the World, from seed to sapling, from sapling to tree.

Dear ADEVİYE ERTÜRK : we have a project running on bringing together all those wonderul ideas and actions around sustainable plantings around the schools: https://education-for-climate.ec.europa.eu/community/3BT/about

Have a look what teacher colleagues are already sharing in there: https://education-for-climate.ec.europa.eu/community/post/135

Please share your dream there, too! https://education-for-climate.ec.europa.eu/community/3BT/stream

Looking forward :)

Thanks for your explanations. I've heard about similar projects. I couldn't find good references just now, but we could look at what UNESCO has published, for example.
