Exploratory thinking aims to foster creativity in order to envision alternative futures. It means to adapt a relational way of thinking by exploring and linking different disciplines, using creativity and experimentation with novel ideas or methods.
By tapping into different disciplines, traditions and cultures in a transdisciplinary manner, exploratory thinking can help learners create future visions for a circular economy and society. It requires cognitive processes and for people to use their intuition.
