Futures literacy means to envision alternative sustainable futures by imagining and developing alternative scenarios and identifying the steps needed to achieve a preferred sustainable future.
This competence helps learners anticipate, prepare and invent as changes occur. It encourages learners to use their imagination, tap into their intuitions and creativity, and assess the possible steps needed to achieve their preferred future.
