Policy Forum 2023 | Summary & Next Actions

Our Policy Forum 2023 just took place and we want to thank all participants involved. You can rewatch the Forum and also contribute to the next actions we need to consider for our green competence boosting journey:
- You are invited to join the GreenComp community, in order to build on the European sustainability competence framework to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes to live, work and act sustainably.
- You can also continue the conversation in the related discussions in the community platform around the 3 labs (Lifelong learning | Social Economy | Digital innovation).
The next occasion to meet up and take stock of the progresses made will be the Education for Climate Days in November that will give us the opportunity to pursue our journey.

Education for Climate TALKS of the month

Learning planet: learning to take care of oneself, others and the planet ft. François Taddei

François Taddei is the founder of the Learning Planet Institute (formerly known as the Center for Interdisciplinary Research, CRI, based in Paris),  dedicated to “reinventing learning for all through collective intelligence in order to build sustainable & inclusive learning societies able to rise to the complex challenges we face.”
Do we need to “reinvent learning” ?
Well, as François puts it; “Education systems are not the most evolving entities. But anything that evolves slower than its environment risks to become obsolete. That, is a huge problem, because there is an acceleration of change?“. Quite refreshing, isn’t it?

GLUP-GLUP App: environmental awareness and skills development for the 21st century, ft Ana Belen, Saúl Romero and Justo Murillo

Biology teacher Ana Belen Yuste Martinez and her students, Saúl Romero and Justo Murillo from secondary school IES Consaburum in Consuegra, explain in this TALK the details of their project, GLUP-GLUP, an educational App that won the second prize of the call for innovative green education actions launched last year by Education for Climate. Their objective was about awareness raising, but also about promoting skills for the “XXIst century” as the Spanish teachers tells us, such as creativity, leadership and communication.
