Dear EducationForClimate community,

The Forum was a blast! Thank you once again for your inspiring contributions to the event. We truly appreciate your community engagement.

As we could see and listen to, the Forum can only be a start of a broader green competences boosting journey that needs to convene and mobilize across sectors, levels and thematic areas.

Re-watch the Forum

The Forum in Short

1. Community collaboration is key to driving the green transition and creating a sustainable future. The Forum highlighted the importance of bringing together policymakers, experts, and practitioners to co-create innovative policy & practice solutions .  We all felt the excitement about developing new ways of working together and creating encounters between citizens and experts.

2. The need for change to transform education and learning environments cross-sectorially and transdisciplinarily to equip learners with sustainability competences. The Forum highlighted that we need to focus on practical changes on the ground rather than just discussing concepts and definitions. Inclusion in and accessibility of curated learning experiences and material solutions is key.

What now?

Taking the three Policy& Practice labs and what has sprung out as first synergies within the Forum is crucial to feed our green education community-policy-cycle. For now:

  • Join the GreenComp community – the community of people and organisations building on the European sustainability competence framework to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes to live, work and act sustainably.

Become GreenComp member

  • You can already now continue the conversation in the related discussions in the community platform. We have already fed it with the Forum's insights.

Lifelong Learning Lab Social Economy Lab Digital Innovation Lab

  • Stay tuned for more action on the lab themes – we will open a call for inspiring & innovative education projects on them to identify actions to be leveraged.

  • And see you in the community – don’t be shy to suggest your own challenge towards all of us to work together on!

The Challenge Incubator

Time is running out, so let’s be the community where to come together to anticipate & address the changes needed for learning and teaching for the green transition and sustainable development.
