Dear GreenComp companions,

As July is coming to an end and most of you are – or will soon be – on holiday. I would like to highlight key activities running this summer to which you can contribute to at your own pace.

  • Learning scenarios. Launched in May, this activity gathers learning scenarios building on the GreenComp framework and collect them in a resource library. Do you have a possible good practice that you would like to share? Submit it through the annual call for innovative projects of Education For Climate Coalition. It does not take long and it is not complex; but if you have doubts, watch the recording for a further explanation.

  •  Assessment tools. Addressing one of your interests, we have now a dedicated space in the GreenComp community where you can share your assessment tools or read about them. In Autumn, we will resume our conversations. In the meanwhile, engage with other community members!

  • Digital version of the GreenComp. I am happy to inform you that, after gathering feedback from the community, the digital version is now updated. You can now read how to navigate through it (if you were not managing) and comment on each page to share your thoughts and questions. More importantly, you can now download and share a self-certification as GreenComp Companion. It is an editable certificate that you can personalise adding your name; and share it in your network and on social media.

  • Sustainability Conversations: the GreenComp game. If you are now preparing activities for the next academic year, check this conversational game. You can use it to prepare your classes as well as play it in your activities. We have tested it multiple times with the community (both in-person and online), and all players loved it. After playing this game, you can share your conclusions in the dedicated group, and connect with other players.

  • Fill in your profiles. Many of you would like to know other community members; however, I noticed that many of you do not have a complete profile. A complete profile will allow engage more and in a better way among community companions. For instance, you can add tags indicating which GreenComp competences and a description of your projects. This will allow to find synergies on similar/complementary projects run by several members and connect with companions with similar interest or focus.

We will come back with our monthly GreenComp café on 18th September 2024 at 17.00 CET. You will be able to read more information on the event page soon. However, if you have suggestions, please do not hesitate to comment in the event and suggest a discussion topic.
