Reassessing priorities for the GreenComp community in 2025

Dear GreenComp community,

The Coalition will start a fresh chapter under new leadership in 2025! This is the time for the GreenComp community to re-assess their needs and interests, which is why a new focus phase of the GreenComp community will be launched in January 2025 to co-design future activities.

How have community needs been addressed?

Since the launch of the community in March 2023, three main needs emerged: 1. learning more about the GreenComp framework; 2. sharing knowledge and use cases around it; and 3. assessment tools building on GreenComp. 

Throughout these two years, the community met once a month for participatory activities tackling those needs. These were the resources we develped together:

• Digital and interactive version of the GreenComp framework;
• A knowledge library;
• Several EducationforClimate TALKS (here, here, here and here); and 
• Communication material.

To better share our knowledge, we have recently developed a resource library containing learning scenarios that have been presented during the Education for Climate Day 2024. Moreover, we developed the following resources:

• The GreenComp Game; and
• A map of innovative projects.

Finally, we launched a mapping exercise to have a better idea about assessment tools building on the GreenComp framework.

What now?

• Celebrate the community's achievements and use the resources outlined above;
• Reflect on your needs and interests: We are amazed about the high-quality outputs the community delivered in such little time. And we know that much more is out there! Share in the ideas section of our community group which priorities the GreenComp community should tackle from next year.
