Change facilitators
Change facilitators are community members who have committed to leading a participatory challenge with at least two other participants. They moderate the participatory challenge and support participants throughout its dedicated review process.
As part of this role, change facilitators:
- provide an overall framework for the participatory challenge
- lead by example and encourage active participation
- convene the group regularly, share updates and monitor progress
- manage and organise the group's insights and contributions
- facilitate and celebrate the group's achievements and successes.
How can you get involved?
You can become a change facilitator in one of two ways:
- if your challenge incubator entry meets the requirements to become a participatory challenge, you can commit to serving as one of its co-facilitators
- if you would prefer to join an existing participatory challenge, you can volunteer as a co-facilitator and help guide the group through the challenge process.

Peer reviewers
Peer reviewers contribute their expertise to help ensure the quality and relevance of participatory challenge outcomes. They support the review and validation process by providing independent feedback from different professional, practical or experiential perspectives. They:
- act as subject matter, practice or experience experts within the wider peer community
- are identified in consultation with challenge facilitators during the co-validation stage to ensure that reviewers represent perspectives relevant to the scope of the participatory challenge
- are jointly confirmed by the Education for Climate Secretariat for each participatory challenge to ensure that reviewer selection is appropriate, impartial and independent of the challenge group
- provide constructive, timely and concise feedback on the participatory challenge outcome under review.
How can you get involved?
Any registered community member can express their interest in becoming a peer reviewer. To join the reviewer pool, you can:
- indicate in your profile that you are willing to serve as a reviewer and contribute your subject, practice or lived-experience expertise
- update or withdraw this preference at any time through your profile
- maintain an up-to-date and complete profile, as reviewer selection depends on the quality, completeness and relevance of the information and expertise described in your profile.
